I offer my condolences to Brian and his family. Warren was one of the finest principals I worked with and I enjoyed my time at Cochrane HS particularly under his reign.

Warren changed my life -- he hired me to teach at Cochrane High School. I'm back at Cochrane and see his portrait hanging in front of the main office -- GREAT MEMORIES!

"Dear Brian, Susan, and family, My deepest sympathy to you on the death of your father/ grandfather. Warren was my grade 8 teacher as you know who later became a friend. He always gave me a hug when we met downtown. I'll always remember his love of music and sitting down to the piano and playing with such gusto. You all were the most important element of his life after his dear wife. As you grieve, please know how devoted and loyal you were to him. In these last years, you took such good care of him and will have no regrets. May he rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.

I was at Cocrhane while Mr. Haacke was there. A very fine man and he will live forever in all the people he impacted during his life and career.
The picture brought back so many memories.

Warren was my Grade 8 teacher, and I adored him! He played the piano ('Last Train to Clarkesville', a Monkee song, really stands out for me) and I loved that. I ran into him numerous times throughout my adult life, and always left feeling great. The last time I saw him was at the Dairy Queen. He apparently lived in an apartment behind the DQ.... he 'sort of' remembered me at that point, but was so pleasant and funny. He will be missed.
