Dear Ron - he was such a wonderful man. \his sense of humor was so dry and witty and we always enjoyed seeing him. Can't believe he is no longer with us. Bill, \joyce, Jan and Pat you will miss him so much as will his grandsons. I also cannot believe that our dear friend Joan has also passed away. Hopefully they are now reunited.

Bill and Joyce -- I will miss that great smile of your Dad's and his keen humour. Your Mom and Dad were our neighbours for a very long time, and Uhrich Avenue just won't be the same. Ron was a true character, but always a gentleman. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

Bill, Joyce and families:
It is Wednesday evening and I have just read that your dear father has passed on, and have missed the opportunity to be present at the funeral. Your father, and your mother, were such important friends in my parents' lives. Such a long history of connection, community and caring....and, I'm sure, many stories that I didn't hear, but were part of their love and appreciation for each other.

My sympathies on Ron's passing. I spent many hours with Ron and my Dad hunting all over southern Saskatchewan. Ron always had a stories to tell with humor and an amazing memory for people and places in rural Saskatchewan. At the end of the day there was always a drink and more of Ron's easy humor.
Ron was a great friend to my Dad when he was terminally ill and again his compassion and loyal friendship were abundantly displayed. Deep sympathies to Bill and Joyce and their families your Dad was one of a kind and will be fondly remembered.

Billy and Joycie, Alix let me know today the sad news about your dad, my Uncle Ronnie. Grieving already for mom, today's sad news is simply too overwhelming for words. I loved your mom and dad for the humanity and humour they brought to all they met. Though its been so many years, the memories of our visits and times together as family are etched forever in my thoughts. Your dad was my mom's hero, and every time her big brothers name was mentioned, her eyes lit up like only a loving little sister could. He is safe with your mom and little sister, other big brothers and their mom and dad. I'm thinking of you both tonight and send my sincere condolences and love. John.

Dear Bill & Joyce and families,
We will miss Ron greatly! He & Betty were in our family's lives forever! The first wedding I attended was Ron & Betty's. Your cousin Shelley & I scooted around as 8 year olds do, managing to scarf all the olives & pickles from the buffet. It was great fun & we were amazed at how wonderful Ron & Betty looked that day. Ron had such a fantastic sense of humour & did one liners that were definitely stage worthy. Ron & Manly were 2 peas in a pod. They hunted & farmed, had kids they loved & were proud of. ( Not to mention the beverages shared while enjoying their many friends) I loved your Dad & Mom. They were the BEST! I have lighted a candle for Ron.

Dear Joyce
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your dad. He was such a kind, sweet man who had a wonderful sense of humor. I have many fond memories on Uhrich Ave as a little girl playing at your house and your dad always had time for a smile and a hello. Recently,while walking my dog I stopped and had a lovely visit with him which I fondly cherish. Fathers are very special and you will miss him very much but also have wonderful memories.
