Obituary of Alma Paulina Yee

ALMA PAULINA YEE (nee Wolfe) Alma lost a valiant battle to cancer on Friday, July 26, 2013 just two days after her 92nd birthday. She was predeceased by her loving husband Moon; her parents, Rose and Joseph Wolfe; sisters, Freda, Del and Arletta; brothers, Dick, Ron, Bob, Cliff, and Harold; nephews, Van Wolfe and Barry Stroh; and nieces, Donna Tannahill and Sherry Klein. Alma is survived by her sister Marjorie Wolfe; brother Doug (Carole) Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Kay and May Wolfe; nieces and nephews, Jack (Cheryl) Stroh, Murl Wolfe, Bobbie (Rick) Ulmer, Larry (Jackie) Wolfe, Lyle (Paula) Wolfe, Lana (Reg) Ruecker, Debbie (Don) Christopherson, Brenda (John) Szala and Rhonda (Dino) Rasmussen; as well as numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews. For 22 years, Alma and Moon operated Aintree Grocery across the street from Luther College High School Campus. Many of Alma's nieces and nephews loved to go to the store on Saturday and help out doing whatever they could. Alma and Moon were supporters of Luther’s community of students and staff over the years and into their retirement. Alma was very excited to recognize her doctor as a former student. In her later years, Alma took great pleasure in her needle work and created many beautiful doilies, tablecloths, and sun-catchers. Friends and family continually added to her incredible collection of butterflies in every imaginable size and colour. As requested by Alma, there will not be a funeral service. A family celebration of Alma's life and her interment at Riverside Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
