Obituary of Gwen Dixon

It is with great sadness that the family of Gwen Dixon announce her sudden passing at Pasqua Hospital on Tuesday, September 17th with her special friend Herb by her side. Gwen is survived by daughter Heather (Terry) Cullen of Port Coquitlam, B.C., son Rick (Janice) Dixon of Gilbert Plains, MB.; grandchildren Carly (Darren) Walker of Fort St. John, B.C., Courtenay and Connor Cullen of Port Coquitlam B.C.; great grandchildren Dylan and Callie Walker of Fort St. John, B.C. She was predeceased by her parents George and Sarah Graham of Wolseley, SK and grandson Brent Dixon of Saskatoon, SK. Gwen was born and raised in Wolseley, SK. After completing high school she attended University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon for one year. In 1948 Gwen married Tom Dixon. Gwen and Tom raised their children Heather and Rick in Weyburn. In 1969 Gwen moved to Regina however she lived briefly in Calgary and Victoria before finally settling back in Regina where she worked for the University until her retirement in 1993. Gwen will be remembered with much love and great respect by family and friends. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre and Sunset Extendicare for their compassionate and dedicated care of our mother.
