I knew "Chess" From her time at the Grey Nuns Hospital as both the competent nurse she was and the great person.I was a lab tech and a young mother and our paths coincided many times. When I went to work at the Plains Health centre it was a pleasure to find her there too. She was a great caring person and we will all miss her. My depest sympathy to you her family. Marlyn

Chess was the employee health nurse for many years in the 80's while we both worked at the Plains Health Centre. She was such a wonderful lady to talk to, always with a twinkle in her eye. Her support thruout a back injury and later thru her chronic pain group made a world of difference to me.
Just thinking of the love she brought to the job, brings a smile. Sincerest condolences to her family. The more we love someone, the more it hurts to lose them.

My sympathy goes out to Gerry and Chess's family at this very sad time.
I will miss Chess deeply...she was witty, compassionate, very caring, a beautiful lady with a positive attitude and sound advice, and a wonderful human being.
I enjoyed doing Chess's hair for years and looked forward to her visit every week in the salon. Oh my, we had great conversations and much laughter. I miss all of it!
Gerry, I am thinking of you.
