I was saddened to hear of David’s passing, Thanks to Dave Kramer for tracking me down through the internet to inform me, otherwise I wouldn’t have known. I worked with David Carmichael at SaskPower for 10 years but our friendship ran much longer. Fond memories I’ll always have of him; his practicality, kind-heartedness and quick wit. My condolences to his loving wife Margaret and all surviving family members. Have a good journey David. I’ll see you again one day.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved David. I recently joined Eastside United Church. I didn't have the honor of meeting David in person but the imprint of his faith and friendship was found everywhere at Eastside. I know that he was a man who truly lived his faith in Christ. He seemed to be unwavering in his enthusiasm to do Christ's work. He obviously lived to love and to help others. Loosing such a man leaves an overwhelming hurt in every heart he touched. It will take a very long time to come to terms with the fact that he is no longer here in person. But David's faith and love will never end. It continues to live in all who knew and loved him. It continues at Eastside and the Living Spirit Centre. David walked forward in light and led the way for many. I know that even without meeting him, I have witnessed love and Christian faith that have touched me deeply.
May God ease your sorrow and replace it soon with the joy and peace of loving memories.

Words cannot describe how sorry I am to hear of Dave's passing. Throughout my childhood, Dave was more than a family friend, he was an uncle to my brothers and I. I will always remember with great fondness his fun, jovial spirit and wonderful sense of humour. I always looked forward to his visits as a child, and it breaks my heart that my own children will not be able to know him as I did. I am so sorry not to be able to make it to the funeral, but I offer my most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Words cannot express how sad and sorry I was to hear of David's passing. I enjoyed every day that we worked together and I came to know David as a very kind, generous and warm-hearted person. I am so happy to have known David and only wish it could have been longer. Please know that David and his family will be in my prayers.

Margaret and Family.
I join my heavy heart to yours. For over a decade, I travelled with Dave in his spiritual journey and he is, to me, that true pilgrim who never saw any obstacle as the final word. Which is how he found you. I will see you tomorrow. In deepest sympathy, Dawn
