A poem in memory of Aunt Elsie:
Life happens. Maybe it's time to learn something new.
And, time holds a painful truth.
It's not fair to you to keep you here in this state.
As much as we would all have liked you to recover,
and not go through the doors of that cosmic gate.
But this is your journey, not ours.
It's your time to wander the cosmic stars.
I don't know where you are going.
I don't know when you will be.
As you journey through this cosmic sea.
I'm glad that you will no longer go through suffering or pain.
With cancer being in your body, it must have been like a prison.
But now you're free,
to shine like cosmic rain.

To Howie,Cory And Helen (Nell).
It is very hard for me to express my feelings for the loss of a dear,dear friend of many years, at work and social life.
For me it is a loss not for just this time, but for many years to come.
My thoughts and Prayers are with you all at this time. John and I send our condolences.
Elsie was a wonderful loving and caring Mother, a loving Sister to Nel, and the best friend one could ever hope to have. She will be greatly missed.

Elsie always seemed a good-natured and soft-spoken person, and I feel the world is a poorer place without her.

My sister Elsie has truly been one of the most influential women in my life, a great role model, a wonderful sister, a trustworthy confidante and a friend! She is one of the most gracious persons I have ever known and I will truly miss her. She was as gracious in death as she was in life, a very kind and sweet gentle soul. I will miss our heart to heart chats, shopping excursions, family dinners and simply getting together for coffee. There is a big hole in my heart without you Elsie and my life will never be the same.
