My Thoughts and Prayers are with the Family ... Martin always had that magical smile to share ... I had the opportunity to share many a smile with Martin down in the men's locker at The Mighty Wascana and sometimes up in the Spike ... Rest in Peace Pal .

I was sorry to read in the paper about Martin's passing. Martin and Ella were good friends of my parents (Ron and Betty Thatcher). I remember visiting with them both over the year's at our home, and I recall their friendly, happy, and caring personalities. No time on Earth is ever enough to spend with those we love so dearly, but many special memories give you comfort as you face your time of loss. God Bless.

My most sincere sympathy to Martin's family. Martin was very special to me, my former husband and myself bought Peerless Printers when Martin retired in the early 1980s. 10 years later when I chose a different direction for my life I approached Martin for help and he obliged, no questions asked. He laughed heartily when I drew out my plans to him of my dream to open a Massage Therapy Clinic and told him of a mix-up at my bank. I had suddenly found myself 'undercapitalized' and was asking him for a loan. He helped me and we met at coffee shops regularly so I could keep him updated. He would shake his head and laugh as I told him of my growing business. At that point he told me that when he was in the medical corps in the Air Force he would massage the shoulders and backs of the pilots when they would return from long flights and how effective and appreciated it was. I can honestly say that Wascana Remedial Massage Centre would not exist today, had it not been for his generosity.
