I know Barb from the Eureka Club where she was a much respected and loved member of a group called Acceptance is the Answer. She was often at the Eureka club cafe in the morning reading the Leader Post and drinking coffee. I among many people looked forward to seeing her and enjoying time in her company.
I was always pleased to see her car in its usual spot when I arrived. In a time of personal loss Barbs' simple touch of a hand and a sympathetic look let me know that she understood and that we are not alone. That small gesture meant the world to me has stayed in my memory as she will.
