Sorry to hear of the loss of one of my genealogy buddies. I had wonderful exchange of email with Jo for the past few years. We both have ties to the Argenteuil County Quebec area and her Thompson family lived next door to my McCullough family back in the 1840's.Three of her Thompson's married three of my McCullough's.
We shared quite a bit and expanded each other's family trees. We were indirectly related.
Jo was always cheerful in her email exchanges and she always remembered my dog, Snuggles. I felt I met her personally but never did. I will miss her.
Ending this tribute with the way she would sign off in her emails,
Hugs and Cheers.
Peggy

I'm so sorry to find out about Jo's passing. Jo sang in Regina Chorus of Sweet Adelines International during the same time I was a member. She always had a smile for everyone and a kind gesture about her. She was also associated with Prairie Gold Chorus of which I too am a member. Seeing her smiling face at our special events was always appreciated. I will keep fond memories of her. Karen Ell

Please accept my deepest sympathy - I looked after your Mom and Dad for footcare for many years and always looked forward to their visit - your mom was always positive and uplifting - she had concern for myself and was always interested in my daughters lives - never left without a hug and a word of wisdom - I adored her and your dad - there will be an emptiness that Jo will not be back for another footcare treatment and hug! Take care to all of you! Lynnise RN

Jo was one of a kind. I met her and Mr. McIntyre many years ago at BMO and they were like good friends when they would come to see me. She was especially proud of her kids and grandkids, we had lots of great conversations about them and their trips! I will miss knowing that they are in the world, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the memory of them will help to ease the sorrow. Sincerely, Tammy

Jo was a gentle, good lady with an exceptional sense of humour and propriety. I will miss her sunny smile, her advice and ability to see the goodness in all situations. She had the best stories about her adventures in life.

Jo was a great friend to our Mom, they played bridge together for many years and had a great many laughs while playing. We will never forget how kind and loving she was. Our condolences to all her family.
