Dear Irene,
We were so sorry to hear of Don's passing. We have such fond memories of both of you when we lived in Regina in the 60's, especially our gourmet dinner club, when Don would NOT eat lamb. He thought it was mutton and didn't have happy memories about mutton!!!
I also remember that my daughters and I came to your place for dinner after Dick had gone to Victoria to look for houses. And you had Kristi (my youngest, now the mother of four!!!) recite the "Wed Wed Wobin". You'll be glad to know that two of her four kids had the same speech impediment - couldn't pronounce their 'r's.
Also, when you came to Victoria with the Shriners' band and we were so happy to see you and have a visit.

We were so sorry to read of Don's death in the Winnipeg Free Press.
Bill and I met Don and Irene while we lived in Regina (1969 - 1973). What absolutely terrific people! We thoroughly enjoyed many get togethers with them, particularly our "gourmet club" evenings which also included the Marchants and the Cavayes.
We extend heartfelt sympathy to Irene and all the family.

Bernie and I along with Gerard, Lyle and Robert extend our thoughts and prayers to you all.
We spend our lives wishing ourselves older until a certain time in life we realize all the joy we have had and still wish for more. I hope your memories of those joyful times help ease your loss with Uncle Don's passing. Uncle Don brought a smile to many and it was evident in the smile he had whenever he spoke about his loved ones.
I also wish we could have been there to share a hug, a smile and a few of the tears.

Irene & Family,
Much time has passed but I remember that close knit family of St. Luke's Church and recall specifically the evening that you and Don renewed your wedding vows along with others including my parents - David & Christina Davis back in the late 70's.

Dear Irene, Bruce, Nancy-Anne, and family All.
We have great memories of pool and Grey Cup parties, along with many Shrine events with Don. You, his family, were his favourite topic and he was dedicated to your success and happiness. Bruce, Nancy Anne and family We have known and loved Don for many years and are saddened at his passing.
