Stephen and I were looking at photos of our many, MANY Saskatchewan summers and found a fun one of six year old Stephen in a life jacket, mid air between the pier and the waters of Echo Lake in a pre-belly flop pose. Stephen laughed and said, "I had help on that one!" and sure enough, Geoff was in the background with a great big smile! We also remembered the good manners of taking the piece of yummy Aunty Deen cake that was facing you while sitting at the table, which resulted in many games of "look over there" to cause diversion and the opportunity to spin the cake plate to one's advantage. Geoff was always ready to stir up the pot! We will miss him in so many ways.
With love and prayers from Heather and Stephen

To Dale and Arlyce, Don and Donna, and the extended family -
Heartfelt condolences from Barb, Britt, Cam and I. As you know, it was a great pleasure to spend a quality 30 minutes with Uncle Geoff in his residence on the night of July 3. Sharp as a tack, we had a fine visit talking about knee replacements and hockey, football and past fond memories of farm and Echo Lake visits. And laughing about us city slickers learning how to play "Come sit in my chair" and "Upset the fruit basket".
It was a great pleasure to have that time with him. 2005, Britt took an amazing shot of a twister not too far from the farm. Probably something he had seen a lot of over his years on the land.
He was a character, and had such a great laugh. Respected across Canada in the dairy world, he leaves a great legacy. I hope Grannie is telling her boys to "lick your forks, there's pie......."
Straight ahead, Uncle Geoff. You lived life well.....RIP.

Hi Everyone. I just wanted to send a few thoughts I had about Geoff.
From as early an age as I can remember I always looked forward to getting together with him. When we were young he would take time to listen to and answer our questions about cows. As we grew older the conversation got more complicated but kept on going. It was always full of laughter and giving each other a hard time. I remember golfing with him, grandpa and Mark many times. These three would always make it fun and find every lost ball on the course!
Of course there was time to talk hockey. I can still hear him talking about a game or two that maybe got a little rough. He would just laugh that unique laugh of his and say it had to happen!
When it came to cards I still think he is the only Strudwick that didn't try to cheat.
I will miss Geoff.
Thinking of you all
Jason, Schoena, Marley, Drew and Kane
