A lifetime of memories! I always called you the 'gentle giant' as you were always so kind and considerate of others. The memory that will always be with me, Kathy, is when I was hospitalized at the age of 7. You came to visit me twice a week but at the start we couldn't talk with each other. By the second visit, you wrote on a notepad, 'I teach you my language', the deaf language. By the end of my hospital stay, I knew the deaf alphabet and could we could relate words back and forth. Another memory that makes me smile every time I think of it is when, at the age of 5, I stayed at Grandma Schuster's while my family went on holidays to the U.S. When they came back to pick me up, they gave me a hula hoop. I had no idea what to do with it, so you put it on your waist and hula hooped for me. Then I gave it a try and you laughed so hard at my efforts. So many more, but I can't list them all, will always be in my heart.
