My wife Gladys appreciated your Lakeshore IGA garden centre till they closed and the new location. Sylvia was always a great lady to meet and deal with and I am sure will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to meet her over the years.

Sylvia was such a great lady! We first met her at the Lakeshore IGA, that was "our" store while we raised our family! Eventually our son even had his first employment there. Every spring I looked forward to chatting with Sylvia for a few minutes and valued her advice with all of my gardening and flower bed questions. I'm sad she will no longer be there and miss her already.... Our sincere condolences to all of the family.

I was very sorry to read of Sylvia's passing. I only knew her from the little Garden Market on University Park Drive. She was just the sweetest lady. I found her to be such a friendly and kind person. I will miss her at the market. My condolences to all of her family. May she rest in peace.

Sylvia was part of every gardening season for us. Her presence at Lakeshore was tangibly welcoming. She shared her knowledge willingly and honestly. We went looking for plants yesterday and found nothing there, then read of her death this morning. So very sorry - the world has lost a special lady. Diana and Robin
