Obituary of Hulda Sigridur Margret Thorsteinson
HULDA THORSTEINSON
AUGUST 6, 1928 – DECEMBER 1, 2017
Hulda, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. Left to honour and remember her love are her husband of 69 years, Skuli; children, Lynne (Dale) McHarg, Terry (Vi Deters) Thorsteinson, Laurie (Sandy) Rutherford, Bonnie (Ron) Cherkas, Tim (Wanda) Thorsteinson, Brenda (Glen) Fekula; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Darren and Jackie McHarg (Payton, Preston and Paisley), David and Amy McHarg (Taylor, Jack and Evan), Carrie and Ryan Rempel (Kayne), Christopher and Tristal Thorsteinson (Venezya, Svea, and Soren), Garry Rutherford, Lee and Natasha Cherkas (Bailey and Gabriel), Matthew and Laken Cherkas (Quinn), Megan Cherkas, Kylee Thorsteinson, Adam Thorsteinson (Venus Le), Jonathan, Madison (Deanne) and Garrett Kearney, Bradley Fekula (Lacey Mercer), and Ashley Fekula; sisters-in-law, Elva Fiessel, Phyllis Sigurdson; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins Paul and Bev Johnson, John and Vera Johnson, and Jim and Judy Thorsteinson. Hulda was predeceased by son Darren Thomas; and daughter-in-law Susan Thorsteinson. The family would like to thank the staff from the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. Memorial Service will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina, SK on Monday, December 4 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, or The Regina Palliative Care and Bereavement Centre, Pasqua Hospital C/O Michelle Johnson, Office Manager, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5.
