Hi Family; We are very sorry to hear of Uncle Ed's passing. Uncle Ed is my Godfather and I was named after him. I had always considered this to be my privilege. Each summer when Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Ed and all you cousins would come to the farm to visit, it was always a highlight in my life. I miss those times. I also miss the lively discussions Uncle Ed had with my father Gerald (I always sided with Uncle Ed LOL). You all need to know that Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Ed had a very special place in my mother's heart. She loved them both dearly. I always looked upon Uncle Ed as a solid man of great substance and integrity. He was very much a positive influence in my life and I will always remember him for that (both he and uncle Ray gave me advice and belief to pursue engineering of which I am eternally grateful for). Uncle Ed and Aunt Dorothy raised a great family and I miss you all! I know he suffered in his last years and I believe that in the hereafter he is in a better place with Aunt Dorothy and Bradley. I am so very thankful to Laura (and family) that you had arranged the Family Reunion in 2013 with most of the Gaspers in attendance. It was wonderful to see Uncle Ed then. I am deeply sorry that because of my job we are unable to make it to the funeral. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and may the wonderful memories you have of your parents ease your pain at this time! We love you all, Bob, Betty and Anton Gasper
