FLEMING, James Alexander “Alex”
Alex, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Winnifred; and siblings, David, John, and Joan. Alex is survived by his wife Victoria “Vicki”; daughters and their husbands; Darcee and Leon Lapointe, Natalie Gray and David Calam, and Nicole Fleming and Darrick Lutz; grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Kowbel, David (Melissa) Lapointe, and Krysten Gray; great-granddaughters, Victoria Kowbel and Ava Gray; his sister Margaret Dosko; sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Irene; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, Alex was also proud of his business achievements. He was a hard working sales professional and innovative small-businessman who, along with his business partners, founded Steelcor Culvert Ltd., which operated from 1983 to 2003. Alex was less successful when it came to fishing however. That said, he enjoyed every fishing and camping trip and his daily coffee visits with Ken and John. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the staff on Unit 3E at the Regina General Hospital and at Victoria Park Personal Care Community. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alex may be made payable to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, RGH 3E Educational Fund.
