RINK, Bernard

May 9, 1925 – November 1, 2018

 

Bernard passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Regina General Hospital, with his wife Islay and daughter Sandra Rink at his side. He was predeceased by his son Melford and daughter Sharon Raczynski. Bernard leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Islay; daughter Sandra; son-in-law Donald Raczynski; grandson Michael (Keri Ann); and two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Maya Raczynski. Bernard grew up in Kendall, Saskatchewan. He was a World War II veteran of the RCAF. Following the war, Bernard was a conductor for the CN, where he and Islay made their home in Kamsack, SK. Bernard was very active in his community and will be remembered for his devout Roman Catholic faith, his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Presently Bernard and Islay were part of College Park Retirement resident community. A special thanks for their support and kindness. The family would also like to thank Dr. Curtis and the staff of Unit 5E at the Regina General Hospital for the compassionate care they received. A private family graveside service was held at Riverside Memorial Park.
