Obituary of Jake Wiebe

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jacob Victor Wiebe at home in Regina, Saskatchewan on December 13, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Jake was born into a large family on the farm just south of Hebert, SK on April 28, 1937. He was predeceased by his parents David and Aganetha; brothers John, Dave, Ben, and Dan; and sisters Olga, Tina, Agnes, and Annie. Jake is survived by Mary Lee, his loving wife of 31 years; his children Jeff (Joanne), Rob (Sandy), Monica (Gerald), and Mitch, and their mother Marilyn Crosby; his stepsons Gary (Lori), Sean (Christina), Ian (Aniza); sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandson; and his sisters Selma (John) and Hulda. Jake leaves behind many special friends and family, relationships built over a lifetime. Jake will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and fun-loving spirit. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Jake’s name to a charity of your choice… one of his being the Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7. Dad certainly loved his dogs.
