Obituary of Shayne George Mathieson

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son and brother Shayne Mathieson on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the young age of 51 years. Shayne was the most loving, loyal, devoted, gentle, kind, funny, and most enjoyable person to be around. He cherished the time he spent with his sister Lorie, his best friend. They loved spending time together reminiscing about old times and also talking of their aspirations for their future. Shayne's other true best friend, his mom, was always someone he adored, protected and loved with all of his heart. Spending time with his mom and sister Lorie was the most important and precious time to him. Shayne was always the person you could count on to make a gloomy day seem bright. He always found the good in every person he met. He truly was a hero. Shayne was predeceased by his father Hugh Mathieson and grandparents. He is survived by his mother Georgia Mathieson; older brother Michael; sisters Lorie, Annalee (John), Kristy (Jeremy) and Meghan (Jeremy); youngest brother Richard (Amber); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
