I knew Calvin from preschool through high school. We were boyhood friends. I spent a lot of time at the Read's house on the corner of 10th Street East in Prince Albert and I always felt welcome there from the entire Read family. I have many great memories of the time spent with Calvin. His sense of humor was incredible and obvious even in his early years. He could always make you laugh and came up with the best quips at the most opportune moments. His timing was impeccable and I smile even now remembering many of those occasions. We never stayed in touch after our high school years, however as fate would have it our paths did cross a number of years ago. It was great to see again that wonderful smile along with the laughter and the genuine sincerity in his eyes as he asked me how I'd been over the years. Nothing had changed, it was the same Calvin that I'd known as my childhood friend. Although our meeting was brief it was a great moment for me. Always good to see an old friend again. I'm thankful for that. My condolences to all of Calvin's family and his loved ones. He was truly a special person. May he Rest In Peace and remain in our hearts forever.
