Bill is and will always be a fond memory in our Richter family hearts. All 5 kids came to know Bill for his open acceptance of everyone and willingness to help anyone with anything he was capable of. We spent many a day growing up together in a great neighbourhood that offered many of the dream things a kid could want. When I moved to Vancouver Island Bill certainly numbered in the missing friendships. I was thrilled when he came to visit on a couple of occasions. I only wish we could have had more time. A great guy dearly missed by many.

I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing earlier this year. Over many years, Bill was a constant in the lives of the Richter family, a friend to all of us. He generously gave me my first "real" job, working behind the counter at his airport gift shop. Very exciting stuff for a 13-year old, watching all the comings and goings, in very different times from today. He encouraged my interest in photography, always willing to help with my questions. And in later years, he beautifully framed so many pieces for me and for the family. We lived his travels with him, through his lovely photos - which he was always happy to share. Rest well, my friend.
With love, Patti Richter

We are thinking of Roma and family at this difficult time. We have many memories of Bill going way back in time and up to the present. He was a very nice man with a great sense of humour. He will be missed.
Rest in Peace, Bill.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened up the Leader Post this morning and saw Bill's obituary. I was thinking of him just recently when I needed some frames for awkward pictures.
Bill and I have known each other for about 40 years through the frame shop and the Photo Club.
I saw him not too long ago at a mutual friend's memorial service and we had a nice little chat
His photography passion must have rubbed off as I am traveling a lot and taking loads of pictures, but only using the cell phone, which takes some amazing pictures.
I feel bad that his excursion did not end well, but he died doing what he loved the most.
Not everyone gets that.
I am sure he will be missed by Jim, Carolyn, Roma and other family members and friends.I was surprised to hear that Roma is still with us, which is hard to believe.
Sending my heartfelt condolences and very best wishes at this very sad time.
May he rest in Peace.
Sincerely,
Sylvia Sunshine

It was with great sadness that I read in this morning's Leader Post of Bill's sudden passing. Our friendship goes back many years. Bill's parents were both friends of mine and I cherish the knowledge that Roma is still alive at 105. I believe I met Bill through his photography and the displays he mounted at the Regina Exhibition. When he moved his framing shop from Victoria Avenue next door to his brother's veterinary business, I helped him when he went into his last location on Saskatchewan Drive I built Bill's work tables and stalls in the back for him and subsequently spent many mornings drinking g coffee (fresh made) and cookies with him.Bill had a great sense of humour and was always ready to give a hand where he could. I will miss Bill dearly and wish for peace at this time to Roma, Jim and the family.
