Obituary of John William Inglis

Bill was born in Saskatoon and lived most of his life in Regina. He was predeceased by his father John Inglis. Bill is survived by his mother Roma Inglis (105); his brother Dr. Jim Inglis (Carolyn); his niece Amanda Casper (Rob) and children Austin, Autumn, Ali and Ayanna; his nephew Matt Inglis (Lindsay) and his dear cousins Bonnie and Barb Burnet. He was a very kind and determined man.  As an accomplished photographer, Bill’s passion was to travel and photograph the world around him. He also had a great love of animals. Bill overcame many hurdles in his life. He was the first child in Canada to have training wheels on his bicycle. He bought his own scooter at age sixteen and a power boat at eighteen. He worked for the family business, Yarnton Decorating for many years.  He purchased and operated the confectionary kiosk in the Regina Airport and later opened and operated the Photo and Frame Shop.  Bill was a founding member and President, and recently Life Member of the Regina Photo Club.  He also participated in the Prairie Region of Photographic Arts (MB, SK, and AB) and was a longtime member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art. Bill was also an active member of Regina Shutterbugs. We feel great sadness that Bill’s latest excursion ended in such tragic circumstances, but he passed away doing what he loved best – “Travelling with his camera.” A private Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. To view the livestream of the service please click on the link to Speers TV above. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Gold Coast Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gold Coast Hospice, 309 SE 18th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
