ERMEL, Irene Annette

1928 – 2020

Irene, late of Cupar and Regina, SK went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband William in 2009; her parents; brother Steve (Helen); sisters Yolanda (Leonard) and Ethel (Joe); daughter-in-law Lisa; nephew Ernest; mother and father-in-law and their six sons and three daughters. Irene grew up in Lestock SK. She taught school for twenty years. Irene was a member of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets (1944 – 1946). For eight years she was the Housing Manager for the Cupar Housing Authority and their Board Member for one year previously. She also belonged to several other organizations. Irene leaves to mourn, her son Ross and her daughter-in-law Angie; grandsons Justin and Christopher; step-grandsons Jordy and Riley; nephews Danny and Ron (Tammy); grandnephew Steven; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law and their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. She resided in Cupar and area for 72 years and moved to Regina in 2009 to Broadway Terrace. A public memorial gathering will be held at a later date. May Irene rest in the Peace of the Lord, and may the Hope of the Risen Christ sustain all who mourn her passing.
