My grandpa was a very special man. he would take me on sled rides, he would drag me and my cousins in the back of the skidoo and he was overall a very sweet man.

Hello Eugene's Family
I am sorry to be so late in sending sincere sympathy when I learned about Eugene's passing. Our families grew up next door to each other in Port Hawkesbury. Eugene was the same age as my brother Kevin who passed away last August. His sister Lorraine and I were best friends growing up and then, as is the way in Cape Breton, people moved away to find work. And then we lose connections. There were seven of us Lamey kids and 8 Ryans so we were quit a force. I am glad that Eugene had a happy life and that he was a "union guy."

Gloria and Family: we heard last night that Gene had passed away and we want to extend our condolences to all of you. Gene was a good man and a hard worker. He always spoke highly of his family. We are thinking of you at this difficult time. We are glad we saw you last fall at Art's funeral. I always enjoyed working with Gene. Take care and be safe.

I can still remember his home and his mother well. They didn’t have much nor did we. He was always happy skinny young fellow and would have chummed around with Mike.so glad life was good to him and had a lovely family.so sorry to hear about his passing.
