I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Rita’s passing. I always admired her for her active lifestyle, when Dad was still at home I would see Rita and Mrs. Belsey going for their regular walks and I would think “way to go ladies”. Did you know that Alison, Dallas and I still use the same lasagne recipe that Mom got from Rita in the 70’s. It’s a funny thing when you can live miles from home and but still have chance encounters with people from home. I had 2 of these with Rita, more than anyone else from my past. Michelle, do you remember running into each other in a mall in northwest Calgary in about 1998? Under sadder and more recent circumstances was here in St. Albert a few years back at Brooklyn Johnston’s funeral. It was so surprising but wonderful to see Rita and Hugh. I really loved looking at the photo book you created. It is obvious that Rita lived a wonderful, full life with many people to love and who loved her back. I had hoped to attend the funeral to say my farewell and to show my support to the family but it was not possible. Please know that I was there in spirit and that I will think of all the Miller family often. Sending hugs and prayers. Kelly Biegler

Dear Hugh! My deepest sympathies to you and your Family! I was shocked and saddened to learn of Rita’s sudden passing!! Dear Hugh. We were so sorry to hear of Rita's passing. It has been a long time since we have seen each other but we do have fond memories of the times we had together. We did do some double dating before you and Rita were married and before we tied the knot. You two were a great couple. I remember the days we worked at Sasktel and Ken remembers playing hockey (the Lumsden Monarchs) with you. Memories are so precious. We know that you must have many that will help to comfort you.
