MILLER, Rita

Rita Miller (Meyer) passed away suddenly on the evening of July 19, 2020 after a short illness.  She is lovingly remembered by her husband Hugh; her children, Kevin (Lola), Michelle (Ben), and Sherilyn (Patrick); also her sisters, Pat (Stan) and Jill (Rick), brother Brad (Wanda); grandchildren, Rochelle (Steve), Jazmin (Steven), Kyran, Chance (Kate), Regan (Tayler), Matthew, Zach and Nathan; and 3 great grandchildren, Colson, Ezekial and Jaxon; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Vera Meyer, and sister, Jane.

Rita was a loyal friend and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and caregiver, especially for her husband Hugh. She put others ahead of herself and will be greatly missed by her loved ones.  Rita was a member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) for over 50 years. She stayed at home with her precious children for 14 years and worked at SaskTel for 18 years - 14 years in the billing and finance area and 4 years at the Telemart. Her friendships were lifelong.  For many years she and Hugh travelled to Mazatlan for vacation.  She enjoyed healthy activities, walking for miles and finding new recipes.  Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren had a loud cheerleader in whatever musical or sporting endeavour they engaged in.  Avid baking displayed her love, as well as cards, games and visits with family and friends.
