Cremation with a Memorial Service

From traditional to modern - and everywhere in between - there are endless possibilities when creating a Memorial Service for your loved one.

Hosted at our chapel, a church or any other location of your choice, your Funeral Director can help you create the type of Memorial Service you want, taking into consideration the personality and spiritual beliefs of your loved one, including a Family Farewell at our funeral home.

Our staff will be there to look after the set up and logistics of the service - including a transportation package to and from the funeral for family and clergy.

Cremation with a Celebration of Life

A popular alternative to a traditional funeral service in a Church, is a Celebration of Life at the Speers Family Centre.

With space for up to 150 guests and state of the art audio/visual equipment, your Funeral Director can help you create the kind of event you would like including speeches, videos, music and delicious food from our menu.

Starting with a Family Farewell before the public event, our staff will be there to look after everything - including set-up, hostess service and clean-up afterwards, as well as transportation service for family and clergy to and from the event.

Cremation with a Come and Go Tea

Understanding the busy lives we live today, many families are interested in a more casual alternative to the traditional funeral.

When this is the case, your Funeral Director can help you create a Come and Go reception at the Speers Family Centre. Family and friends are free to stop by at their leisure to express condolences, share special memories and pay their respects. In addition to tea and coffee, you can also choose to serve assorted snacks and desserts from our delicious menu.

Including a Family Farewell prior to the event, our staff will be there to look after everything - including set-up, hostess service during the event and clean-up afterwards.

Full Service Followed by Cremation

Our Full Service Followed by Cremation package allows families to create the traditional type of service they want - including a Family Farewell and funeral service with the casket, followed by cremation.

Your Funeral Director can help guide you through the process of creating this type of service, including embalming and dressing your loved one and looking after all of the details of the events involved in the service.

We will also help look after transportation, including a funeral coach, lead car for clergy/pallbearers as well as a family car for transportation to the crematorium or cemetery.

Cremation with a Graveside Service

Families looking for a more intimate type of service can choose our Graveside Service package. Your Funeral Director can help you learn about your options for choosing a cemetery and memorialization - including choosing  between a cremation plot with a monument or a public or private columbarium.

A Family Farewell can take place following a death, but travel and weather can play a factor in scheduling a Graveside Service at a later date to accomodate traveling family members and Saskatchewan weather conditions.

Cremation Package

Some Saskatchewan families do not wish to have a funeral service or reception when their loved one has passed away. When no service is preferred, your Funeral Director can help guide you through the process of arranging for Cremation Service - including transportation of the deceased, making arrangements with the Community Crematorium and preparing the required documentation.

And, as with any family served by Speers, our Continuing Care Coordinator will be there to help you with whatever you need in the months after the cremation.
