Regardless of your age or health condition, there is a plan for you. Your options range from single premium plans to multi-pay plans that are spread out over 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 20 years. Payments can also be made on an annual, quarterly or monthly basis via direct billing, automatic withdrawls from a chequing or savings account or to your credit card.

Guaranteed Costs

When you purchase a Purple Shield plan for services at Speers Funeral and Cremation Services, the prices you are quoted for our services and merchandise are protected against inflation and are guaranteed - regardless of when the policy is activated.

Although you are always free to move the policy for use at another funeral home in Canada, prices for their services and/or merchandise may not be guaranteed against inflation.

Protecting your Investment

To safeguard your investment, every policy issued by Assurant Life of Canada is protected through Assuris - a not-for-profit organization that protects Canadian policy holders in the event that their life insurance company should fail for any reason. Assuris is funded by the life insurance industry and is endorsed by government. There is no cost to policyholders for Assuris protection.
