I met Ron when my husband entered Parkside in December 2018. They were in a 4 bed ward and I visited every day, so was able to help them both. Ron loved cookies and was happy when I took some for him. My husband was a Pastor and had many visits from other Pastors, all who prayed for him, as Ron listened. Ron thanked the Pastors for their visits. He asked for a Bible and received two. He also needed glasses and received two pair. After the death of my husband, I took his picture bulletin to the other 3 men in the room. Then Ron was moved to a different wing and I saw him there, where he again mentioned his love of cookies. I saw him one more time, taking some cookies, and then I was traveling for a while. Then COVID-19 came and no one could visit, and yesterday I saw Ron's obituary in the newspaper. I had promised to bring a picture of my identical twin great-granddaughters for him to see and that was not possible. I send my sympathy to his loved ones. God bless, Lila Pollard
