Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Anna Murtagh (Erieser); son John Mogentale, grandson Jeremy Puharski and great grandson Luca Stevens; brother Richard Lewison, and her sister, Sister Anne Murtagh.

Priscilla is survived by Luis, her husband of 67 years; children, Cathy (Terry) McKay of Regina, Celine (Darel) Kilford of Fall River NS, Maureen Mogentale of Regina, Jane (Arnie) Maier of Regina and Jerome (Michelle) Mogentale of Regina; grandchildren, Allison McKay (Jon Selinger) and great grandchildren Connor and Clara, Amanda McKay (Taylor Stevens), Alex McKay, Jessica Kilford, Kristine Kilford, Sarah Kilford, Samantha Schryer, Thomas Maier, Danielle Maier, Michael Mogentale and Olivia Mogentale. brothers, Gerald (Bev) Murtagh of Moose Jaw, and Patrick (Shirley) Murtagh of Winnipeg; as well as numerous extended family and close friends.

Priscilla was born March 20th, 1930 in Bruno, Saskatchewan.  Her childhood was spent living in many small towns in Saskatchewan.  She graduated from high school top of her class (class of 1) at sixteen and, after six weeks of normal school, began teaching.  A consummate teacher, her favourite students were often those who struggled the most and she thrived on helping all students reach their full potential.

She met Luis and they married in 1953.  Together they raised six children while living in Sinnett, Watson, Weyburn and finally moving to Regina in 1975.  While raising children and teaching full time she continued her education, receiving her Bachelor of Education in 1978.

Priscilla had a great love of books, all genres of books, and was working on reading all of the books on her shelf, a task that would be impossible.  She was always looking for the right person to give a book to.  For years she kept track of the books she read and what she thought of them in a little notebook.

She was an active member of several organizations including The Royal Purple, The Monarchist Club, The NDP, The Oldtimers Club, the CWL and The Good Sams.

In retirement, in keeping with their faith, Priscilla and Luis completed the Lay Ministry Program and spent many years volunteering with Pastoral Care at the Pasqua Hospital and Lay Ministry Services at Care Homes.

In retirement she thoroughly enjoyed travelling in their motorhome and trips overseas, camping with their grandchildren, playing bridge, gardening, shopping and the casino.

Priscilla kept lifelong friendships and connections and will be sadly missed and remembered by all who hold her dear.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Bentley and College Park II for their dedication and care of our mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Priscilla’s memory to The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
