Obituary of William Harold Miller

Bill passed away peacefully, after a short hospital stay, on August 29, 2020 at the age of 86 years.  Bill was born on August 24, 1934 near Earl Grey Sask.  He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Stephanie (Degelman) Mueller; wife Betty-Jean (Dermody); brothers Al, Martin and Richard; and sisters Kory Richardson, Airaca Haver and Celeste Martell. Bill is survived by sister Raynell Miller; brothers Don and Joe; sons Don (Deb), Scott (Paula) and Dean (Laurie); daughter Judy Schwindt; grandchildren Kelsey, Karla, Lee, Cole, Sean, Kerry, Jason, Erin and Joshua; and great-grandchildren Jackson and Ryan.  At a young age, Bill lost his father and he, and most of his siblings, spent time in a Yorkton area orphanage. After moving back to Regina he met the love of his life, Betty, and on November 10, 1956 they were married in Regina at Sacred Heart Cathedral. In 2016 they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Bill was trained as a Lithographer and worked his entire 42 year career at Commercial Printers. Bill and Betty had many lifelong friends during their 55 years in the River Heights neighbourhood. Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking long walks, and watching sports and news programs.  He was a devoted son, brother, husband, and a very supportive father and grandfather.  Betty and Bill were avid fans and spent countless hours watching their children and grandchildren in a variety of sporting activities and other endeavors. Bill's family would like to thank the devoted and caring staff at College Park II and the staff on 4B at the Pasqua Hospital for making his stay as peaceful as possible. Respecting Bill's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
