It is with cherished memories and great sadness in our hearts, that our family announces the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Steve Hrynuik, on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the age of 93.  Predeceased by his parents Bill and Mary Hrynuik; siblings Nettie (Antonishen), John, Nick, Mike, Annie (Junker), Peter and Ned; and son-in-law, Randy.  Steve is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Pauline (Mandziak); daughters Laverne (George), Joanne (Don), Brenda (Kevin) and Christine; seven granddaughters, Shannon (Kole), Tracy (Michael), Amanda, Rebecca, Nicole, Krista (Noah) and Breanne; and three great-grandchildren, Kyler, Kate and Abigail.

Steve was born in Prud’ homme, SK and moved to a farm between Leross and Kelliher, SK, when he was two years old.  He attended Leross school and eventually bought the family farm with Pauline on which they worked together for over 30 years.  They moved into Kelliher in 1980 and Steve learned to golf.  Spending so much time at the golf course, he eventually retired from farming, then became the groundskeeper and was instrumental in renewing the Kelliher Golf Course.  In recognition, Steve was honored with a lifetime membership.  He was also an active member of the Kelliher Curling Club.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing.  In addition, watching the Toronto Blue Jays, golf games and Saskatchewan Roughriders, were all a passion.  Steve loved to socialize with friends and continued to do so when he and Pauline moved to Regina and he joined the Regina Senior Citizens Centre, and became a member of the Indoor Curling Club, until the age of 92.  Family was of the utmost importance to Steve, and he always made everyone laugh, feel welcome and loved to entertain them with stories of his past.
