Our beloved, Bernard Joseph Theodore Enright passed away with his family by his side after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Bernard believed that you beat cancer by how you live, why you live, the matter in which you live, and he never complained about his condition. He had a love for golfing, fishing, animals and the outdoors. It was during his teen years working for the family business, MiSask Sewer and Water Construction that he found his love for turf maintenance and irrigation. This eventually led him to complete fourteen years of service with the City of Regina, proudly achieving a foreman position at one of Regina’s public golf courses.

Bernard, leaves to mourn his loving son Bentley; his parents Debbie and Brad Enright; siblings Caterina Jahnke (Dallas), their children Jackson and Isabelle; Jillian (Jordan Ozipko), their daughter Aubree; and Branden (Abbey Johns). Bernard was predeceased by his grandparents Bernard “Bud” and Marie Enright; Theodore and Elizabeth Miazga; Lori Miazga (Aunt); Leslie Howard (Uncle).

Many saw Bernard as a warrior, especially his adoring son, nieces and nephew. They understood him to be the toughest guy around, who was never willing to stop fighting. No matter how hard his days were or how exhausting the treatments had become, he drew his courage and strength from those four children. Bernard stated that his son Bentley was his “greatest accomplishment” and that he was his “whole world.”

Although he was not given much time in our world, his light shone brighter than many, teaching us that time is precious, family is everything and that warriors truly exist among us. He had the biggest heart and was the finest father, son, brother, uncle and friend anyone could wish for. Our world is poorer for him leaving; our lives were made incredibly richer with him being with us.

The family wishes to thank Dr. W. Dolata for his unwavering care and dedication to Bernard as well as the team of Oncologists and nursing staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic. A special thank you to the nurses of 3B for their comfort and care of not only Bernard, but his whole family throughout his journey.
