Darrel Erran Hermanson was born on June 28, 1939 in the family home near Theodore, SK, where he grew up attending the Westbrook School.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra, son Scott, his wife Gail and their three children;  Caitlin, Seth and Atli, son Tyler, his wife Mandy and their two sons, Rhemi and Ronin.  Darrel was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Anna and one brother Marvin.

Darrel was a welder, a Mr. Fix-It and gravel truck driver.  He lived, worked and together with Sandra, raised their family in Balgonie, SK, where he was a maintenance foreman with the Town of Balgonie for twenty-two years.  They later moved to Southey, SK, where in his retirement he continued to build birdhouses and many other useful things which are now in many homes and yards.  He was a member of the Fort Qu’Appelle Farmer’s Market for many years.  Darrel loved to fish and many good times were spent on the water in his boat.  

He made a choice to serve God in 2003 and remained faithful to that choice until the end of his life.

Darrel passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2020 with his wife Sandra and both of their sons, Scott and Tyler by his side.
