Hello, sorry for your loss and my deep condolences. Your mom and your dad were great friends with my parents George and Marie Schmunk who have since deceased. Although many years have passed I still remember the childhood memories I had with you and your parents. God bless.

Aunt Doreen was special to me. She could tell a good story, had a quick wit, and a great laugh. I have great memories of her from my childhood - especially the times our family’s would go to Kenosee Lake together in the summer. In recent years, we were able to connect several times in Montmartre, which I will cherish. My last contact with her was when she reached out to me worried about me with everything going in the U.S. All of her life, she worried about and took care of her extended family. To my cousins and their families, I am so sorry for your loss. She was an amazing woman and will truly be missed! Doreen’s niece Lisa (the one in the states).

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your very kind words! I know you were special to mom as well, in fact, she was just talking about you while she was in the hospital and how good you had made her feel the last time you talked. I hope you and the family are well and I hope you had a wonderful birthday today (8 minutes left in Regina! LOL) God bless you and your family! ~ Melanie
