Obituary of Trudy Magdalene Wyatt

Trudy was born in Calgary, Alberta, on December 25, 1955, and it is with great sadness we announce her passing on October 4, 2020, after a nearly 5 year battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents Donald and Norma, and brother Denver. Trudy was fiercely loved by her family and she will be forever missed by her husband of 45 years, David, her children Sarah (Steve), Trevor, and Michele, and her three grandchildren, Nicole, Isla and Elle. Trudy is also survived by her older brother Barry, nieces Liana and Chantel, and younger sister and best friend Michele (Ken), and their three children Emily, Kate, and Kaden.

Trudy and Dave enjoyed travelling and were fortunate to see many wonderful places around the world, including spending many winters in their treasured Oahu. Trudy loved being surrounded by family and friends-turned-family. She was a wonderful cook and a terrible tile rummy player. She was the mom who still told her adult children to drive carefully and text when you get there, and always worried about everyone and everything. She loved trips to Winners and fresh flowers just because. Being with her granddaughters was one of Trudy's greatest joys - Nicole, Isla and Elle will forever cherish the memories (and homemade banana bread) made with their Grandma.

Our family would like to thank the many friends and family for all of their support, the angel nurses and staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre for their love and humour these past 5 years and more recently, the nurses at the General Hospital in Unit 5A for their compassion. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Aspe-Lucero and Dr. S. Lee for the precious gift of more time with our beloved Trudy.
