Obituary of David Johnathon Graeme Finch

Dave, of Regina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2020 with his wife and children by his side, just shy of his 45^th birthday, after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. Waiting for him at the gates of heaven were his grandparents Tom and Ethel Currie and Wilfred and Griscilda Finch; his uncle Doug Currie; cousin Tom Currie; his father-in-law Gordon Krattenthaler and nephew Ethan Grabarczyk. Dave is survived by his loving wife Suzanne; their children Andrew and Tessa; his parents Kathleen and Graeme Finch, his brothers Danny and Cory Finch; his mother-in-law Gayle Krattenthaler; sister-in-law Tara Kelley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Andrea and Basil Grabarczyk; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Greg and Alana Krattenthaler and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved very much. They will miss his crazy antics. Dave was the absolute best father and the world was a better place with him in it. The tumour took a lot from him but it never took his spirit and courage. Even on his last day he was smiling and making jokes with the nurses. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Cheryl Zagozeski, Dr. Laura Stark and all the nurses in Palliative Care at the Pasqua hospital. The family is also grateful for the immense kindness and support of extended family, friends and neighbours, especially Jay Kozack and Jamie Miller. This is not goodbye.  It is until we meet again. The Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held at the Conexus Arts Centre, 200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina, SK, on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Masks are recommended but not mandatory.  An RSVP by Friday at 8:00 p.m. is required to attend the service.
