Obituary of Carl Schwager

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Carl Schwager in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 5, 2020. Carl was predeceased by his wife of almost 50 years, Marianne; his parents Karl and Eva; and his sister Marianna. He left behind his daughters, Diane Schwager and her son Chandler Kerr; and Carla (Darryl) Willoughby. Carl was born in Krnjaja, Yugoslavia and eventually went on to become a professional baker. He immigrated to Canada in 1950 where he continued his baking career. Once he retired, he became a building custodian of the TD Bank Building, for Modern Cleaning. Carl’s love of cars, fixing things, tinkering, and of course his wine making kept him busy, as did his two daughters. There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
