Obituary of Rose Katherine Tuchscherer

Rose was born on February 4, 1923 and passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in Regina. She is survived by her two sons, John and daughter-in-law Laura Lee and their children, Jonathon (Kaitlyn) and great-grandson Harrison and Stephanie (Brennan); and son David (Kathy) of Winnipeg and their sons, James and Chris; sister-in-law Nora Schlosser; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Wendel and Marian Schlosser; her beloved husband John in 1988; brothers, John (Elizabeth), Jack, Frank (Dorothy) and James; and sisters, Mary (Alec) Weisgerber, Elizabeth (Charlie) Feisel, Katherine (William) Stoudt, Regina (Jim) Gerein, Anne (Martin) Bokitch, Lena (Frank) Kam, Agnes (Louis) Keller, Hannah (Ed) Haider, Helen (Henry) Vogt and Dorothy (Ed) Nicols; her husband John’s sisters, Regina (Hank) Seibel, Mary (Henry) Stricker; and brother Frank. Rose was the last living sibling and has now joined her fourteen brothers and sisters and the Schlosser family circle is now complete.

Rose was a resident of Sunset Extendicare Nursing Home for the last seven years where she received exceptional care which the family is eternally grateful for. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will sadly be missed by her family and all that knew her. Rose loved to play cards and bingo and enjoyed all family get-togethers, especially birthdays and holidays. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake, especially with her grandchildren and watching them play a multitude of sports including baseball, soccer, basketball, football and softball. Rose was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays fan and seldom missed watching them play on TV.

In light of the COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held for only family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose’s name, to the Sunset Family Advisory Board, 260 Sunset Drive, Regina, SK, S4S 2S3.
