Obituary of Kerian Jane Van Aggelen
VAN AGGELEN, Keri
1951- 2020
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Keri Van Aggelen, late of Regina, SK, who died after years of battling cancer. She passed peacefully and comfortably, surrounded by the love of family. Keri was predeceased by her parents Bernie and Bev; and her sister Susan. She is survived by her son Michael (Bernadette) of Regina, SK; her son Daniel (Karen) of Toronto, ON; her brothers Bill and John (Debbie) and their families in Alberta; and her three grandchildren who she loved dearly: Ruby, Lev and Keira. Keri lived in a variety of cities in her youth, (Vancouver, Toronto, Victoria and Edmonton) and put roots down in Regina where she raised her boys, but a piece of her heart was always back in Victoria. She was a very proud mom and grandma who delighted in spoiling her loved ones. Keri had a passion for food and always loved trying new recipes for family suppers. She had a lighthearted approach to life and never took herself or life too seriously. Living life on her own terms was her policy. Keri was known for her unique sense of humour and during her years of battling cancer, she always kept that humour through the hard times. From time to time, she liked a good adventure, travelling with friends to Ireland and the Caribbean, camping, and even whitewater rafting, which she didn’t attempt until recent years. She will be sadly missed. May her memory be a blessing. The family would like to thank the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Agency, the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Oncology and Palliative units at the Pasqua Hospital for their care of Keri and support shown to her family in her final weeks. A celebration of life will be held at a later time when her loved ones can all be gathered together. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
