Obituary of Paul William Podl

Paul Podl was born in Saskatoon on May 27, 1933 and passed away peacefully in Regina on December 8, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Paul was a kind and gentle soul who will be so greatly missed by his soul mate, Eleanor; son Ron; sister Edna; sister-in-law Margaret; and daughter-in-law, Linda. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary (Swyck), and father Steve Podl; brother Maurice and brother-in-law, Don Vibert. Paul attended school in Saskatoon and district and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Pharmacy in 1956 and subsequently worked in drug stores in Saskatoon and Regina. Paul and Eleanor were married in Saskatoon in 1958 and moved to Regina in 1959. Shortly before Paul retired as a pharmacist he learned the art of silversmithing. In the following years he went on to design and make many beautiful pieces of jewelry which family members and friends have been delighted to own and wear. A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
