Obituary of Anita Olga Hesse

Mrs. Anita Hesse of Balcarres Integrated Care Centre, formerly of Regina, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2020. Anita was born on December 4, 1926, in the District of Homefield, SK (Ituna) to Alex and Mary (nee Korchinski) Smuk. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Leonard and Jerry; and sisters, Violet, Avril and Jane. Anita is survived by her husband of 47 years, Otto Hesse; her brothers, Steve (Liz), Benny and Orest (Rebecca); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. At Anita’s request there will be no formal funeral service. A private family interment will be held at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Hubbard, SK, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, with Fr. Basil Malowany officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials honouring Anita’s life may be made to the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery Committee, Box 99 Hubbard SK S0A 1J0.
