I am so sad to learn that Dr. White passed away. He was my supervisor of graduate study at the University of Regina back to the 1980s. But more importantly, he has been a well-respected individual and close friend of my family ever since. He taught me how to explore the past as a historian and see the current world as a humanist. He set a good example of how to treat everyone in respect with dignity. He was so nice to my family that we always remember we have a grandpa in Regina.
When I phoned him at the Christmas Eve 2020, he still showed a great interest in listing to our family stories and talking about his health and living conditions. Unfortunately it became our last conversation in life! Dr. White will be missed dearly.

I was saddened to learn of Dr. White's passing. He was a super nice guy with an uplifting sense of humour, who always had a pleasant way of putting you at ease -"Call me Clint" and that nice smile of his. His classes nurtured a lifelong love of history for me.
Dr. White was my mentor during a difficult period of my life. When he discovered that I was studying German, I became his Research Assistant, translating articles from a German Canadian newspaper. Under his tutelage I also authored two entries for the New Canadian Encyclopedia. Later on, Clint guided me towards a federal government career with a glowing recommendation.
I am both honoured and grateful to have known Dr. Clint White. Please accept my sincerest condolences and know that he truly did make the world a better place.

I was so sorry to read that Clint had passed away. I was not lucky enough to serve with Clint in the legislature but got to know him at various gatherings of the party he loved. Clint was such a nice person who was always up for a conversation about the latest issue. To all Clint’s nieces and nephews please accept my deepest condolences.

What a great joy it was for us to have had Clint as a friend and colleague. A gentleman and a scholar, Clint demonstrated the virtues of authenticity and wisdom throughout his life. He loved his students, he loved politics, especially his chosen brand, and he loved Saskatchewan particularly the part that contained Humboldt. To all his good friends, to his faithful neighbours and to his many nieces and nephews we extend our sincere condolences.
Requiescat in pace.

I remember uncle Clint being very agile on a particular fishing trip with Raymond, Don,Joe and myself. He performed the splits between the boat and the dock before he went for a swim! We fished him out, dried him off and shared some laughs over beers and fresh fish!
RIP uncle Clint... May the hunting and fishing be plentiful bin heaven!
