Mr. Cudmore taught me how to weld, which helped me out of poverty. He sent me for my first job and I remember the guy saying they didn't want no girls here. But Wes taught me so well that they had to hire me. I have always called him through the years. He will be greatly missed, not only was he a great teacher, but he was a great man.
Thank you Mr Cudmore for everything

My husband Frank (now deceased) and I lived in the same condo as Ida and Wes. They were such good neighbours. Wes was always so helpful and with such a pleasant smile. R.I.P. Wes

What a beautiful service. We only met him once but he was someone you don’t forget when you met him. He created a great life for his wife & family. Sorry he didn’t make it to 140 as he planned. But so happy that he went peacefully. Great job on the eulogy Linda & Azlynn. Great tribute to a great guy! Hugs of condolences to the family grieving their loss.

That was a lovely service. It was so nice to hear some of the stories about Wes before we knew him. I particularly enjoyed the shop teacher and goalie stories, Linda. My Mom, Maureen, has a story similar to the hockey mask - of a body mold being made out of plaster. It is a wonder they all came out unscathed! We are so sorry for your loss. A great man leaves a large hole. But he is not gone - he lives on in all of you and in your many fond memories and in the family you are today. Love to all - Blaine and Laura Friesen

Hi Ida,
So saddened to hear of the passing of Wes. I thought of mom and dad as soon as I heard the news. The four of you spent so many wonderful times and travels together. Wes and dad were cousins, but more so they were good friends.
May the memories of Wes warm your heart and the hearts of your family.

Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to you, Ida, and your family. Wes always had a smile and a kind word to say to everybody. We were very privileged to have met Wes and you, always so friendly and helpful to others. Earl says, when we play nine ball pool, and sometimes when we don’t have a very good shot, we will play a Wes Cudmore shot and “let ‘er rip” (and have a good laugh, remembering Wes). Good memories and peace to all from, Earl and Val Wickdahl

Dear Ida and Family. I was deeply saddened to hear that Wes had passed away. Great memories of our interactions at Magic Valley Park mostly involving the Pool Room. I know Rod had the greatest respect for Wes and I remember him as a true gentleman. I bet they are enjoying a game of snooker if there are pool tables in heaven.

Dear Ida & family,
My heart is saddened by the passing of Wes. Whenever he came into the bank, his smile always filled the branch with Joy. He would always tease me about what I was doing, and I kept promising to take you both to lunch, I’m just so sorry to have not been able to.. He is such a wonderful man, and I will dearly miss him. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you and family.

Dear Ida and Family - We are so very sorry to hear of your dear husband's passing. We go back a long time with Wes. Lorne played rec hockey with Wes way back when. Then when we moved to Wascana View, Wes and Ida were our next door neighbours. They were wonderful neighbours and we had a lot of good laughs and good conversations. We were sad when they decided to move. Wes always had a smile and always loved to talk. He was a mister fix-it and always offered help and suggestions when we had questions about how to do things. He was a very kind, friendly, warm man and will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. You were very fortunate to have many trips and great times with your friends and family and the wonderful memories will last forever. What a lovely picture of Wes - that's how we remember him. God Bless you all and take care of each other.

I met Wes at the Regina Senior's Center.
We played 8 ball and snooker, it was a pleasure to play with him because his language was always respectful.
On victory or defeat He was always gracious.
I will surely miss him.

Dear Ida, Joanne, Guy, Linda, JP and families,
Please accept our deepest sympathy for the loss of Wes. He was one of my Mom's dearest cousins and we always delighted in seeing him and Ida and their glowing smiles at every Moreside reunion and at the All Saints turkey supper each year. Unfortunately, the last time we saw you was at Carla's memorial. We are so sorry for your loss and our hearts and prayers are with you all.
Just the day before I heard of his passing (and thank you, Joanne, for letting Terry know so he could inform the other cousins!) I came across a photo of you, Ida, with Wes at our house one time when our daughter was a baby. We have many great pictures of both of you from the various gatherings and have digitized them, so if anyone would like copies, please let me know and I can email or upload them.
With sympathy and hugs,
Judy and Bruce McCuskee (Gladys Scott/Moreside's daughter)
