Obituary of Carol Ann Standingready

STANDINGREADY, Carol Ann

April 9, 1950 – January 19, 2021

Carol Ann Standingready passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Regina Pasqua Hospital. Carol loved gardening, she had a “green thumb.” She was an excellent cook, enjoyed powwows, and often set up a food booth. Carol loved to sit around the campfire with her family and watch the boys play horseshoe. She was also a big Roughrider fan. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Stephen McArthur and Florence Sammy; her grandson Samuel Standingready; as well as numerous siblings. She is survived by her spouse, Lloyd Fayant; her sons Corey Standingready, Conway Standingready, and Courtney Standingready; adopted son, Craig Big Eagle; her grandchildren, Donavon Standingready, Cante Standingready, Corbin Standingready, Tori Burns, Carol Ann Standingready, Kalianna Standingready, and Lylah Standingready; her great-grandchildren, Blaze, Kashia, Akeicita, and Meadow; as well as numerous siblings. Carol lost her mother when she was a child and became a member of the Big Eagle family, who loved her dearly. A Wake for Carol will take place at Ocean Man First Nation, on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Following the service on Monday, cremation will take place. It is regretful that Carol’s services are during this pandemic, we ask that all those attending respect and follow the Covid-19 guidelines set by the Sask Health Authority and First Nation.
