Our deepest sympathies to Shelly and the entire Bilboe family. I met Dave through his brother Ron, while curling in the Regina Men's Bonspiel. What a pair of fun guys!! With Dave as skip and Ron at third, after-game strategy discussions could get quite colorful, but always in good fun. Most memorable was the time Ron told Dave he aimed for his foot (rather the broom) because Dave kept giving him the wrong ice - not a good thing to tell the Skipper!! I know Dave will be missed by his family and acquaintances but we will always have those fond memories to look back on. RIP Dave.

Our deepest sympathies to you Shelley, and the entire Bilboe family from the distant, albeit never forgotten Yurkiw family. Yes, a solemn time, yet also a time to reflect on the tremendous amount of warm, positive and bright memories that cannot help but also bring a little smile to give us all some solace at this time. Many of those fond memories revolve around Grey Cup’s and Rider games and I am sure that right now, Dave has rounded up a group of old and new friends, poured them all a drink, and leading them through another verse of “Every Where We Go”. It is impossible for us to select just one memory of Dave because after 36 years of being backyard neighbours and friends we have so many. To others, the gate connecting our yards is simply a gate made of wood. To us it is a gate that is made of gold. It has been a gateway to golden memories of watching our children grow into adults, enjoying our grandchildren and enduring the loss of loved ones together. Now we grieve a person who made everyone welcome in his home, always had a joke to share and most importantly accepted his friends for who they were, quirks and all. You will be missed Davey.
