Obituary of Peter Joseph Fayant

It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Joseph Fayant announces his passing on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 78 years. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Cecelia Marie; his children: Sandra (Ron), Doyle (Caroline), Sheila (Lawrence), Debbie (Brian), and Shelley (Troy) and his fur baby Princess; his two sisters Jean (Ed) Kopp, and Laura (Brian) Sundberg; and brother Lloyd Fayant. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Amanda, Aaron (Amanda), Brent, Alexandra, Paige, Lyla (Wyatt), Tyler (Caitlyn), and Kaitlyn (John); as well as numerous precious great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Agnes Fayant; and brothers Wilfred, Neil, Lawrence, and Gordon. Peter was born in Indian Head, SK, and lived most of his life in Regina, SK. He loved to teach and cared very much about his family and friends. If he knew someone, he always would stop to say hello but never used the word goodbye. He enjoyed spending time with the family; Sunday family meals was one of them. He was a simple man, but a hardworking man. Those who knew Peter, know he had the biggest, most generous heart and had the ability to bring smiles to everyone’s faces. He will be greatly missed. Our hearts are broken, but we have faith in God that Peter can now rest in peace. Cecelia and his children would like to thank everyone for their support when the easing of Covid-19 public gathering restrictions allow for a Celebration of Peter’s Life.
