Frieda Metchuk (nee Rumpel) of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 11, 2021, at the age of 95.  She was predeceased by her husband, William Metchuk, infant son Garnet, son Gordon and daughter Joyce Snyder.  Frieda is survived by her daughter Jane (Dennis) Taylor and son-in-law Cecil Snyder; grandchildren Greg Donovel, Susan Esmond, Lisa Snyder (David), Tennille (David) Wild, Michelle (Jacques) Leblanc; great grandchildren Austin, Aaron and Adam Esmond, Sheldon Fenning and Kaitlyn Wild; as well as a large extended family and numerous friends.  Frieda was born and raised in Earl Grey, SK.  In 1945 she married William (Bill) and together they built their life on the family farm near Southey.  She loved gardening, sewing, quilting and travelling.  Coffee was always on and lunch was ready for anyone who stopped in for a visit.  She thoroughly enjoyed the hard working life of the farm but in 1989, after moving to Regina, Frieda quickly became involved in several singing and square dancing groups where she made many new friends.  Frieda will be remembered for her determination and quick wit.  During the past year she kept herself busy with many activities at College Park II and the family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone there for the support and friendship she received.  A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. To view the livestream of the service please click the link to Speers TV at the top of Frieda's Tribute Page.
