Obituary of Thomas Joseph Richard Opitz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas (Tom) Joseph Richard Opitz on February 17, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rose Opitz; sister, Pat Silzer; brothers-in-law, Jerry Baumgartner, Erwin Fuhrmann, and Lewis Connell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandra and Gerry Runtz; nephew, Michael Runtz; and greatnephew, Kenton Baptiste. Tom is survived by his wife, Marlene; daughters, Rosemarie and Michelle; son-in-law, Drew; grandsons, Connor, Joseph, and James; brother, sisters, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law: Ray and Marilyn Opitz, Betty Fuhrmann, Judy and Ron Heck, Mary Baumgartner, Jake Silzer, Darlene Connell, Bev and Rob Nelson, and Bev and Rob Hodgson; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Family and friends so wishing may make memorial donations in Tom's name to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK S4T 7T1.
